HOWL is also applying for a grant to provide a free after school program for Otsego County at Vanderbilt Area School starting in November. We will offer after-school nature education programs for elementary-age youth (grades 1–6). Sessions will be led by trained wildlife educators and  will include nature journaling, habitat exploration, and age appropriate ecological curriculum. Students will have the option to meet one or two sessions per week. Participants will develop ecological literacy, nature observation skills, and an emotional connection to the living world around them. Best yet, they will have fun and enjoy being outdoors!
